Victoria Goodvin

Victoria is a North Carolina native, who moved to Nashville, TN in 2009 to pursue a career in the music industry. Earned her Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Industry Studies at Belmont University, and began her journey in music publishing at Song Factory (now Riser House) working directly under Jennifer Johnson with songwriters: Bart Butler, Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch, Larry McCoy, Ashley McBryde, and Olivia Rudeen. 

Victoria recalls her time spent with ‘Song Factory’ as, an: “incredible learning experience, ending with numerous friendships & priceless skills honed.” After leaving ‘Song Factory’, Victoria moved on to serve as Creative Director at Row Entertainment & Liv Write Play, and most recently, Wide Open Music.

During her stint at Wide Open, she not only worked in publishing, but also assisted with day-to-day management responsibilities for burgeoning artists, Jimmie Allen and Matt Stell. In 2020, the existing company and catalog was sold, and Victoria was appointed Vice President of a brand-new Wide Open Music Publishing company, where she built and ran the company for 3 years.

In 2023, she left Wide Open and co-founded For The Record with husband, Aaron Goodvin. The company specializes in helping independent artists find or write, record, and release their next single.
